About Us

When co-founders Mathilda and Nathan met in 2023, they discovered they'd both completed the same intensive one-year diploma course in Paris, earning the title "Consultant spécialiste du marché de l'art" - a qualification that reflects a deep understanding of the business and inner workings of the art world.

What started as conversations about the problems of the art market soon became a creative partnership bringing together heritage, artistry and blockchain technology.

Nathan Waks

Co-Founder & Chairman

Professional cellist, serial entrepreneur, collector, researcher.
Nathan has been a professional cellist for over half a century while partnering multiple ventures across music, wine, and art. When he met artist Mathilda Milik in Berlin, he recognized an opportunity to blend the old with the new. Traditional artistry and new technology that can authenticate, tell stories and share economic benefit. What excites him most about OCTARR is researching the deep histories of valuable collectables, and sharing those stories in ways that make them accessible and meaningful, whilst adding value over time.

Where one masterpiece becomes many stories. Where zooming-in is a revelation.

How We Work

Look differently. Uncover the story. Investigate.

Every project begins with radical curiosity - questioning what's been overlooked, forgotten, or dismissed.

A 350 year-old heritage tree destined for firewood. An overlooked Braque masterpiece. We see the future where others see the end.

Before we tokenize, we investigate. Before we fragment, we understand. Deep research and comprehensive storytelling aren't add-ons - they're the foundation.

Restore. Regenerate. Recreate.

Braque’s “Teapot with grapes” reveals hidden secrets. The 350-year-old tree becomes paper, art, furniture, and new forests. Dürer’s 500 years of artistic legacy inspires a 21st century body of work.

We extend the life of our precious one-of-a-kind collectables through the creation of new original work by our highly skilled artists and artisans.

Authenticity. Provenance. Transparency. Smart Contracts. Trust.

Blockchain is our tool, not our identity. We use it for what it does brilliantly - IP security, automatic royalties, accessible ownership, shared economic benefit. We are payment-agnostic and platform-flexible. Creativity always comes first.

Technology serves us, not vice versa.

Fractional ownership. Fractional philanthropy. Resale Rights.

1,000 guardians share the future of the 350 year-old tree. A tokenised 18th century cello is loaned to outstanding young musicians. Profit from the resale of a “100 S.A.M.M.M.” lithograph is automatically shared with the artist.

Every project embeds positive impact by design. Value flows where it belongs.
