100 S.A.M.M.M.

A monumental meditation
Following Mathilda Milik’s successful live painting performance at Boom Festival 2023, she was invited later that year to create a new work for the inaugural Music Magic Medicine Festival in Berlin. From this painting emerged the idea of producing a lithograph edition to make the work more widely accessible.
What makes this project truly unique is that each lithograph is individually enhanced, yet they can only be fully appreciated when assembled together - revealing an interconnected spiral that unites the entire composition spanning 49sq.m.

From a 19th century press to a digital animation
This multimedia installation titled "100 S.A.M.M.M." combines traditional lithographic printmaking with contemporary digital art and blockchain technology.
The original painting was transformed into 100 individual lithographs, printed at IDEM Paris - a historic lithography house whose 19th-century presses have printed works by Picasso, Braque, Matisse, Chagall, and many contemporary masters today. Each piece was then hand-enhanced at La Briche artistic residence to create a single interlinked work comprising the entire suite.
The installation is accompanied by a soundtrack "We are the stream" composed by Sam and Nathan Waks, featuring words of Alan Watts, weaving a meditative sonic dimension into the work. From this immersive audio-visual experience, a short animation was created to extend the work's presence and appreciation into the digital realm.

The Collection
The work maybe acquired whole or as individual lithographs. Each unique hand-enhanced, numbered and signed lithograph comes with its digital passport, the access to the animation and the artist's video contextualising the project.
Rewards of Patience
True impact is rarely instantaneous. This project represents OCTARR’s commitment to "slow-growth" value—the belief that by holding and nurturing world-class instruments like the cello over time, we unlock deeper social and financial dividends. It is a transition from the volatility of speculation to the stability of stewardship.
By participating in this fractional model, stakeholders are not just waiting for market appreciation; they are investing in the "performance life" of the asset. As the instrument matures through use by world-class artists, its cultural and historical significance compounds. This is the essence of patient capital: a strategic delay in gratification that allows for cultural preservation, artistic mastery, and shared economic resilience to flourish in unison.
